September Mural is Sweeter Than Cherry Pie

The seasons are changing and so is our rotating art space in the West District at UTC! As September arrived, so did our sweet new mural hand-painted by Tampa-based artist, Bianca Burrows. We asked her to create an uplifting piece for the community, and she served up the perfect design with a cherry on top. Bianca shared, “it’s my version of a positive affirmation. Just a gentle reminder that you are amazing.”

Bianca, owner and founder of BB Art, is a mixed media commercial artist who’s unique and recognizable style is best described as refined NY street-art. Whether she is painting on a traditional canvas or crushing massive walls with stencils and a spray can, her work is intentionally customized for each setting. Bianca’s signature approach to street-art is visible in all of her pieces, and she draws inspiration from her clients’ visions and her own personal creativity to create these vibrant, crisp, bold pieces.

In 2019, Bianca created The Promise Tree Project to give kids a creative outlet and a safe space to work on self-expression through art. Some of her notable clients include Mercedes Benz, Bloomingdales, Refinery 29, Lululemon, Land Rover, and the MLB.

Bianca’s positive reminder will be on display for the month of September between Blaze Pizza and JPAN Sushi & Grill. Share your cherrific smiles with us using #utcsarasota and be sure to tag @itsbbart
