10-Plus Fun Things to Do This October at UTC in Sarasota

ROCKTOBERFEST  

October 5 | 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.

UTC is putting a fun spin on the classic fall celebration with ROCKtoberfest! Rock and roll your way around the UTC district to enjoy seven rock bands at seven venues to benefit the Suncoast after Hurricane Helene. Grab an all-access pass at The Green to ride the trolley tour, receive special offers at each participating location and enter to win a pair of tickets to Welcome to Rockville, America’s largest rock festival. The live music event at UTC is held in partnership with iHeart Radio and Suncoast Charities for Children. 

PUMPKIN PATCH AT UTC 

October 15-27 | M-F 3:00 – 6:00 p.m., Sat 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Sun 12:00 – 5:00 p.m.

The pumpkin patch returns to UTC! Pop by The Green to find your perfect pumpkin. All proceeds will benefit Nate’s Honor Animal Rescue Center, a non-profit animal rescue in Lakewood Ranch that provides homeless dogs and cats with a safe, loving, no-kill environment while they wait to be adopted. 

BARKS & BOO’S 

October 15 | 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.

Because dogs like to dress up too, we’re hosting a Howl-o-ween party for pups and their parents. Bring your costumed canine for a contest hosted by DOGPerfect, live music, drinks from Oak & Stone, a variety of vendors, raffle prizes and more to benefit Nate’s Honor Animal Rescue Center.

STORYTIME ON THE GREEN 

October 16 | 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.

Fairy Godmother is popping in for a special storytime at the pumpkin patch. Bring the littles for seasonal stories, snacks and crafts. 

HALLOWEEN DANCE PARTY ON THE GREEN 

October 24 | 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.

Calling all ghouls, ghosts and goblins – get your costumes ready and come to The Green for a spooky soiree. Dance the night away to the best Halloween hits, while enjoying special entertainment and drinks from Bar George. 

FRIGHTFULLY FUN TRICK-OR-TREAT EVENT 

October 19 |  5:30-7:30 p.m.

Get ready for a wicked-good time at The Mall at UTC! Kids are invited to dress in costume and follow the Trick-or-Treat Trail throughout the mall to scare up goodies from stores. There will also be fangtastic character meet and greets, a spooktacular dance party, bounce houses, games, giveaways and more. 

UTC FALL NIGHT MARKET 

October 17 | 6:30 – 9:30 p.m.

All the fall vibes await at the Fall Night Market on The Green. Artisan vendors, live music, seasonal snacks, pumpkins galore, and of course fun for the whole family.

MALL AT UTC’S FALL FESTIVAL & CARNIVAL 

*this event has been rescheduled to NOVEMBER 15 – 17

Four days of fall fun, featuring thrilling carnival rides, costume contests for kids and pets, food trucks, live entertainment, bounce houses, face painting and tons more. 

MOVIES UNDER THE STARS 

October 25 | 8:00 – 10:00 p.m.

Settle in for a spooky screening of Hocus Pocus at UTC’s monthly Movies Under the Stars. Come on, sistaahhsss, and join us for photos with the Sanderson Sisters, face painting, concessions and a free showing of this iconic Halloween movie.

TRICK-OR-TREAT ON THE LAKE 

October 29 | 5:30 – 8:00 p.m.

No tricks, just lots of treats at NBP’s annual Halloween event. Presented by Oak & Stone, the spooktacular evening will include trick-or-treating along the candy trail of local businesses, interactive play areas, storytelling, live music and a Halloween movie.
