Mayors’ Feed the Hungry Food Drive at NBP

Events

Nathan Benderson Park is joining forces with Mayors’ Feed the Hungry for a community-wide Thanksgiving food drive.

In honor of what would have been Nathan Benderson’s 109th birthday on November 20, the campaign is aiming to collect 109,000 pounds of food from November 9-20 to support thousands of families facing food insecurity in Sarasota and Manatee counties.

Local businesses, organizations and residents can participate by hosting food drives or donating nonperishable items to one of the collection sites. The campaign will end in a drive-thru community drop-off event on November 20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Nathan Benderson Park.
